I recently revisted a city break but i had already seen everything and i just ended up going to bars. Was a bit of a waste really. I wouldnt go back to most of my city breaks now.

Crashing at your house for the night half way thru the journey isnt 53 hours travel .. the clock stops and restarts the following day when youve got your arse out of bed had your brekky and boarded the next bus 👎💩

Love your videos Scott,very addictive but felt a little bit cheated with you popping back home for a sleep. People will watch your video for advice about doing the journey ie coffee shops,quite places to go to for bit of a shut eye with long stopovers so not a true travellers guide for the journey but apart from that 'personal' view shall keep watching your travel.guides.😊

Yep! Done this in 2003 with my son (he is 22 now) no toilet as it was packed with Luggage... Oh and the return trip too!

I did the old Penzance to Aberdeen train journey once, which was when I bought a week rover ticket. Not sure I could do it on a few coaches

Scott, if what you saw of Benalmadena ticked your boxes then you can only get more inpressed by the marina area which you may have missed!

I do wonder about the sign saying that it's 874 miles from Land's End to John O'Groats (and there is a reciprocal one at John O'Groats), because when I measure it on a map, it's about 600 miles (although the '3,147 miles to New York' is fairly accurate). Putting it in to a route planner, it's still less than 850 miles (and just over 800 miles if a 'walking' option is selected). I guess the '874 miles' used to be the road distance before some of the modern roads were built, so maybe the signs should be updated?

I did Lands End to John o’Groats by bus, train , underground, train then hire car. (Bus from LE, to Penzance . To the hotel I’d stayed in, then train to Paddington, tube to Euston , sleeper to Inverness then picked up a hire car. Once I’d arrived in J OG I then drove on the Dunnets Head. The true north of Britain. While in Cornwall: I’d hired a car to explore The Lizard, the southern point in Britain . So, South to North. Great fun, as was watching this video.

Signs posted in miles? Didn’t the UK convert to metric in the 70s? Was time of the year did you make this trip? Looks rather cold and rainy. No one on the beach? Not the most inviting, prefer our beaches in Australia and in Greece/Spain. Don’t think I could travel that far on buses so good on you for staying the course

As an Englishman I am quite surprised you have only been to Thurso only once previously. I have been there in excess of ten times...By car, train, and motorcycle.

Would love to try and replicate this journey myself Scott. That was an excellent video but I end the journey by foot if necessary at Duncansby Head which is the most north easterly point of mainland Britain. Did you have any jobsworth security guards telling you to stop on filming when at bus stations?

I've done Aberdeen to London, and Inverness to London by coach years ago. Both overnight, bloody miserable experiences.

I travel overnight and foam earplugs and an eye mask are essential.

You must be the most shittiest family member spending all your time on a coach or train or whatever lol "where's dad"? On a bloody coach again... lol
